Some notes on Aer'lynla

Transcription of Aer'lynla to our notation cannot be anything but incomplete, because the characters do symbolise the sounds, but not the other aspects of the meaning of a word like images, associations, scents, emotions and thoughts.
The apostrophe ( ' ) you find in many words and names, is not audible in the pronunciation. This character symbolises the meaning of name or word that, in all its fullness, is communicated on other levels. In written aer'lynla the apostrophe activates a powerfield that transfers that content to the reader.
In terr'hûmli-texts the symbol reminds us of the richer implications of word or name, that we still can be aware of, even if we cannot actually receive the content of the powerfield. Incidentally, when a name becomes contracted, the apostrophe also holds the left-out syllables. (cf.: Jirelle -> Jyr'le)
